Stonebreaker

Stonebreaker Plantation

Another golden early morning moment. I am sitting on a stump, with rifle and camera, looking west across a man-made plantation of foot-high pine trees dotted with blooming sage brush, to a bright valley and another forested ridge. There are no deer in sight. There are trees behind me, their shadows lie on the foreground. In the middle ground stands one huge Sugar Pine, with both the golden sunlight and tree-shadows on it.
