This pair were different, brazenly working the campground at Stovepipe Wells, panhandling tourists and hassling their dogs. They strutted right up to my feet. One of them on a 15 mph sign took second in the Death Valley plein air competition in 2010; the two together won it in 2011. I have painted them three times now, and sold them twice.
