The Meek Inherit

The Meek Inherit

As Golden Eagle was the War Eagle to native Americans, Turkey Vulture was the Peace Eagle. Meek they are. They kill nothing. They have no voice box, and so are silent. They are loving and playful with each other in the wild, and with their keepers in captivity. They apppear to fly for pleasure. The rancher and his cattle are gone, their rough-and-ready homemade loading ramp stands derelict in the desert sun. The vulture has inherited, and repurposed it. What a perfect thing to bask on!
