The battered, yellowed photograph, circa 1870, resides in the South Texas Heritage collections of the Witte Museum in San Antonio. On the back is written in faded pencil, "Texas Indian fighter." I would assume, a Texas Ranger. Beyond that, nothing whatever is known.
