Their front porch, however, gave me the American flag subject for 2015. The little brown object on the lefthand chair was some miner's empty beer can in a paper bag. I liked the complex overlay of outside reflections— the flag and distant mountains, with neon signs and objects dimly seen inside the windows. I have no idea what signage contributed the large letter "A"in the right hand window (any ideas?) or why I, my camera, and my truck, don't show up beyond the flag.
