Eidolon

It is my belief that the image on the right is the God of rain and water, whom the Aztecs would have called Tlaloc, and the Maya Chac. The image to the left I believe to be the constellation Orion, which the Mojave called "the Bighorn Ram", and which is also connected with rain. The meander pattern in between the two is water.
The people who bought the painting in Death Valley wanted to know if the place was real or a figment of my imagination. "Oh, quite real," I said "I could take you there from here in half a day." They said they didn't want to go there; they were happy just knowing it was real.
